About Motor Nature

This website started as the English edition of MoteurNature, a French green car news web magazine. The concept changed with time, and this website now has some unique content. Without favoring any energy or technology, we cover them all, writing about any car or tech that contributes in making our cars less damaging to the environment.

MoteurNature started in France, in 2002, long before people thought green cars could be a segment. MotorNature followed in 2009, though it was in the works since 2004. Our hope is to write about green cars being successful in the marketplace, and the hybrid Toyota Prius is the one to follow here. It has been for several years now, and the Nissan Leaf will probably the first electric car to reach a production of more than 100,000 units.

Besides this website, we recomment plugincars, which is totally dedicated to electric transportation.

Note: writers here are not all native English speakers, so our articles may not be as good as they should, at times. We’re working on that. Please, understand that this website is a work in progress.

Also, this website welcomes all English speaking readers, but we had to make choices relative to units, and we’ve chosen the American ones. If we write about money, we’ll write about US dollars, and if we write about fuel consumption (MPG), we’ll use American gallons, not the Imperial ones.
